Rock Bands that are Still Touring After Decades Together

We have all accepted that most bands break-up even before they reach their forties, but, on this list, we will talk about bands who are still touring after at least forty years together.

The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones are one of the most famous bands in the world. They are together since 1962, and they are still touring together until this day. They have been on the road for fifty-eight years now, and they aren't showing signs of stopping anytime soon. September this year, one of their past albums – “Goats Head Soup” will be reissued, and July this year, they even released three songs that were never featured in the album.

The Eagles were formed in 1971, and even though they took a fourteen-year hiatus in 1980, they got back to performing and are still at it until this day. Their last tour was from February 2020, and it was supposed to continue until April 18th, but it was canceled, and the band announced that they would resume it in August 2021. July this year, the band released footage of their tours from 2018, and they are planning to release a live album in October.

“Journey” was formed in 1973, but they were on a hiatus from 1977 to 1995. Since then, they are still performing and pleasing fans around the world. The band is working on a new album, but there is no information when released. Since 2015, the group changed its lineup a few times, and lawsuits were also involved.

When Kiss was formed in 1973, like the Stones, they are performing until this day. They haven't taken a hiatus but their final concert tour End of the Road World Tour. It would end sometime in 2021, and it's a celebration of the forty-year connection between KISS and their fans. Although this tour would be their last, the band isn't breaking up, and Thayer commented that it would go on somehow.

Aerosmith began in Boston in 1970, and they are together even now. The last tour of the band was the Aerosmith: Deuces are Wild tour, and it ended July this year. Due to disagreements with the drummer Kramer, the group has been involved with lawsuits this year. The drummer suffered an injury and didn't perform for a few months. After that, the band did not allow him to continue playing because of his performance not being “up to Aerosmith standards.”

Deep Purple

Deep Purple was formed in 1968 and only took one hiatus from 1976 to 1984. In 2020 they plan to release a new album – “Whoosh!”. The band members have no plans to retire at this time, but the future is uncertain.

ZZ Top

ZZ Top is one of the most popular bands from the seventies. They formed in 1969 and haven't broken up till this day. They said in many interviews that they are working on their next album, but we don't know when it will be released.
